Biden, Obama helped keep ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ alive

Although Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden routinely mocks his Republican counterpart, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, for her onetime support of the infamous “Bridge to Nowhere,” Biden and his running mate voted to keep the project alive twice.

Both Biden and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama voted to kill a Senate amendment that would have diverted federal funding for the bridge to repair a Louisiana span badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina, Senate records show.

And both voted for the final transportation bill that included the $223 million earmark for the Alaska project.

Be Patriotic, Pay More Taxes!

Hey, Joe Biden says so!

Biden told an ABC interviewer that wealthier Americans would indeed pay more under his and his buddy Barck Obama’s plan because: “It’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”

Yes, he said paying more taxes is patriotic!  Jeez, what would have happened in 1776 in Boston Harbor?  Joe Biden: “Hey you guys, don’t throw that tea in the water! It’s patriotic to pay taxes!”

Next scene: Biden being tarred and feathered.

To be fair, Biden said in that interview that this was for people making over $250k a year. Moral: strive to NOT make $250k a year – you’ll be penalized for it.
